The album is a launch! The tour is a go! TT’s was packed last night in Cambridge. Tonight Front and Lars chase the Easter Bunny down to Jersey. Monday it’s Columbus, then Chicago! And on and on. Attend if you can. Front loves to shake your hand and reduce the value of your new CD by scribbling on it.
Did you see/hear Front on Marketplace, in the Independent, all over the Herald or Telegraph? Neither did we. Too busy lately. Too busy being awesome.

Front scrambles to and fro, getting everything ship-shape for the big tour. But he is not too busy to watch vqp’s2nd “nerd of the week” ep, nor to remind you that the brand new Frontalot album is for sale and shipping April 6. It has songs about Asperger’s, Infocom, Forbidden Planet (the comic book store, duh), and ‘Intelligent Design.’
The lead single is the title track, “Secrets From The Future,” a song about encryption and how quaint our best efforts in that field will eventually seem. It’s public, so you can hear it as of immediately right now.
But back to the tour. Street teamsters still needed! Particularly in Hoboken, Omaha, Salt Lake City, Boise, Reno, Fullerton, San Diego, Tucson, Austin, Houston, and Richmond VA. Check out the teamster org page, see if it’s up your alley, and write in! First volunteer in each of those towns will be appointed capo & get a free show ticket.
Do you enjoy the idea of a “team,” yet you aren’t anywhere near a show? Feel included by posting these westbound showdates banners on your blog or myspace or etc: big med little wee.
Second (eastbound) leg of the Secrets From The Future tour is just about set. We’re still fishing around for a Vegas show, waiting to confirm Memphis, and hoping a DC or Baltimore venue rears its head. Be on the mailing list to know when those things get sorted. Check out the rest of the Apr 27 - May 9 dates now.

Yes, my flock, I talk of futures not imminent but underway! The album is mastered (thanks again to Alex at Turtle Tone) and it sounds kind of kick-ass. Presales orders begin Tuesday in the store. How would you like to hear the title track a couple weeks ahead of schedule? You can do that right here (or find it on the mp3 page), but only if you’re logged into your VSP account. How do you get one of those? Just prove yourself to be the kind of sucker who gives free money to internet rappers.
Now that he’s done mixing, MC Frontalot plans to get his proverbial shit together for the big tour. The 2nd leg is mostly booked, back from California eastbound, through the south. Seek more gig postings in the coming week. Hasn’t Front been miserably lax in sharing data lately? Curse his name no longer! He promises to be forthcoming from this moment on.
He’s on a BART train this evening, dropping Doggy Fresh off with a couple of trusted associates (a game industry insider and his lesbian girlfriend – Front loves San Francisco) so that he can hop a free private jetto Tahoe to gamble and smoke Parliaments with his mom all weekend for her big six-o. How’s that for candid? It’s like you’re Front’s friend. Listening to his secrets.
…From The Future. Take a peek.

Nerdcore tour season is shaping up! Catch Doc Pop, MC Router, and Beefy on their guaranteed superlativeMediocre Tour. May I suggest tickets to the LA show?
Speaking of tickets and tours and those kinds of things, Front’s Secrets From The Future tour is booked through late April, with a southern return leg coming soon for early May. Lots of venues have tickets for sale; seek and you shall be rewarded. Lars is ready to roll. Optimus is on board from Chicago through Los Angeles.ytcracker is on the bill in Denver. Schaffer the Darklord is expected onstage at the Boston tour launch (which is also Front’s CD release party – DO NOT MISS IT).
Get involved, people! The street teams still need volunteers in every town.

Anyone who saw Glen Phillips at Passim last night might have heard him launch into a chorus of Front’sBraggadocio. How unexpected, refreshing, and dear! ALSO: Front is still too much busy with the album. It is going to be quite nice. You people will want to take it home and keep it on the mantle for company to admire. To tide you over, there’s a new remix of the Penny Arcade Theme, by Tommy Bass. It will get all up in your earhole area. And vibrate there.

Front is so busy finishing up the new album, Secrets From The Future, that he has not even got time to write news posts. Except this one.
The April tour is posted! See the info page for the schedule. If you want to be on a street team in one of those towns, write in!

Newsweek covers the nerdcore in this week’s issue. Print edition’s worth a glance too! Some of you remember the days when seeing Front in a national magazine meant that you had photoshop open. Now you’re all, “Meh. Ink. When does the movie come out?”
April/May gets more exciting daily. Looks like Optimus Rhyme will be onboard with MCs Frontalot and Lars for two whole weeks (all the way from Chicago to San Diego), making this the most gigantical nerdcore tour in the brief history of such things.
Front is in NYC this coming weekend to meet potential new drummers! Alas, the Sturgenius can’t hit the road this time out. If you know the very most perfect cantidate ever, send him or her towards newdrummer /at/ suchascream /dot/ net. A single audition slot remains.

Xfire chat is tomorrow night! Hope you’re on the invite list.
Front is battling time and the elements to bring you people the brand new album, “Secrets From The Future."Would there be no irony in listening to the finished product right now? Well, you can’t. But get the hell ready for the April 6 album release in Boston, then the 3-week tour with MC Lars, because those things are definitely actually happening. Will Front be in San Francisco as APE ends? What if he has Optimus Rhyme with him then, as well as in Seattle a few days prior? Aren’t there two more weeks of southern and eastern touring, to happen in early May? Why is Front’s news post being so irritatingly coy?
As if those sex goddesses at VQP were not getting more than their fair share of exposure, they tempt you again towards YouTube for the premiere of their Nerd Of The Week segment. It is seven minutes of nerdcore bliss, profiling the PAX that most recently was.
I’m sure you heard Front on Belgian radio already.

Happy MLKJ Day, all ye civil rights enthusiasts, equality proponents, and day-off getters! We think it’s nice that Coretta Scott got this day off while she was around. We wish she still were! She classed up the joint pretty nicely.
The Nerdcore Rising documentary trailer is still red hot. Check it out on YouTube or scroll down. Also red hot: the latest single from the Nerdcore Rising CD, This Old Man. Download it, then plead with us not to have any other things called “Nerdcore Rising” for a while.
MC Frontalot and Baddd Spellah (and maybe some bandmates) will be all over their Xfire celebrity chat on Thurs, Jan 25. Apparently you get a better chance of getting in if you pre-register. What is up with waiting in line for stuff on the internet? It seems you also need to muscle in early if you want a 64k feed for tonight’s KOL Radio broadcast. Frontalot joins the fun “on-air” (aka “in-tube”) at about 8:15 PM Eastern.
Did you know that rstevens is an adult now? I mean, not if you talk to him about stuff. But if you look at his driver’s license, he is now qualified to be a US Senator. And only five years till a potential vice-presidential run! By the way, his comic is in paper newspapers now. Call and write your local edition and tell them to stock it. If this succeeds, he aspires to have Diesel Sweeties carved into stone tablets soon!
Our new advice column, Ask An Actual Girl, debuts today in the dorknotes section of the site. Write in with any questions about things you think a girl might know.

The fabulous folks at Vaguely Q have gone ahead and posted the first real trailer for their Nerdcore Rising documentary. Frontalot gets all excited about the fact that Weird Al is in it. And that everyone else who’s in it is in it. Also: that he’s in it. But his very favorite thing about the trailer is that it goes “swoosh, swoosh” whenever the words come onto the screen. You know. Like it would do in a trailer.
Spread the word! It’s on YouTube, MySpace, Video Podcast, etc. It’s even posted right here.
But wait! There’s more! A new single is released from Front’s CD. It is This Old Man and you can get it here (or in other formats on the CD page).
Jason Tanz’s book on honkeys and rapping is out in less than a month: it is called Other People’s Property: A Shadow History of Hip-Hop in White America and it has got MC Frontalot in it somewhere. Which reminds us: it is never too late to write a nice review of Front’s record on Amazon.
Our boy High-C has helped orchestrate a gigantic nerdcore show at the DivX booth at CES. Front regrets that he cannot attend/perform. It is in the early evening on the 10th, with another Vegas nerdcore show the night before. Break a leg, kids! And put a nickel on 33 when you pass the roulette table.
Philosophical question: if you were a rapper, and you named yourself MC Frontalot, would you go on to name yourself Nerflor Snubdubble on KOL?
