Happy new year, all ye who adhere to the will of Greg the Thirteenth. Frontalot and company urge you to do unspeakable things in the coming spin-around. Which is to say, brag about your resolutions afterwards, otherwise maintain an element of surprise. Hey! As regards frontalot.com: VSP areas, OSB uploads, and the BBS are back in commission. Our apologies for recent outages.

New York’s Mercury Lounge was thoroughly shaken last night by a nerdcore ‘splosion. Thanks to the many youngsters who packed the joint and flirted endlessly with Front’s merch girl. Thanks to MC Lars, Houston Calls, and the deeply obscene Cock Lorge, each of whom caused massive happiness and jumping around. What a fine evening.
Front heads to sunshiny California for the holidays! Go out dancing to the oldest rave music you can find on New Years, you’ll probably see him dorking out in the corner.

Eighteen-and-up show at Mercury Lounge in NY this Monday with MC Lars. Don’t miss it! Tickets here.
Front caught mc chris in Boston on Sunday night. The man is mighty hilarious, his new album is out (plus awesome), and his songs keep getting more interesting. Stay abreast! Stay abreast of all things nerdcore. The Associated Press does.
Also: sorry about the pageload troubles lately! We are having server issues galore.

This Saturday night! Front makes a sneaky little appearance at Club Passim in Cambridge to do his 16 bars in the middle of Jess Klein’s song “Soda Water.” Get a ticket, ‘cause Jess is awesome for listening to.
Hey, thanks for engendering Front’s recent Song Fight victory. That was nice of you. If you missed the fight, it’s archived. Or, without site exodus, find Front’s new track atop the music page. See the previous news post for background on the song’s ceaseless Achewood references.
New interview up: Front talks to GarageSpin. You read it. You coat your Wiimote in rubber cement for easier grappling. Also, you are excited that Wigu is back in action, right? Right?

A brand new track is at Song Fight right now. Keep in mind that it is rude to vote on fights without listening to the competition. See below for more on on the song, the fight, the etc!
But first: happy Day-After-Turkey-Day, ye face-stuffers and manifesters of destiny! It is our understanding that you are supposed to focus the next thirty days of your life on gift acquisition. May we suggest that a lovely giftis made of any and every item on Front’s store page? There’s new button packs and a sticker you’ve never seen. There’s Nerdcore Rising, which has turned one but retains the freshness of a winter breeze. If your loved one or gift-deserving acquaintance will be in New York on Dec 18th, perhaps you should bestow tickets to Front’s Mercury Lounge gig with MC Lars? Or if the gift recipient is a little baby, how about a DVD that Front rapped on recently?
So, the new song. It is called “Livin’ At The Corner Of Dude & Catastrophe,” a title chosen by Chris Onstad for this week’s Achewood-themed Song Fight. It is a collaboration between Front & Brad Sucks, the one-man song-makin’ powerhouse from the northlands. Its lyric is here and will make sense only to those who know allabout Todd, a certain pathetic and illiterate squirrel who lives in Achewood and occasionally diesthere too, spending interims in Hades.
Now we hope you’re already well versed in Song Fight, the intarweb’s dopest songwriting/producing community. That is where Front got his first dribblets of notoriety, and he continues to find it deeply inspiring. In this week’s fight, Front was most impressed by Billy’s Little Trip, Melvin, The Quesadilla Explosion, Several Thousand Dollars In Motion, and Those Meddling Kids. He was most horrified by (yet enjoyed) Luke Henley and, as ever, the mighty Octothorpe. Begin with those. Vote when you’ve picked a favorite!
Front is going to go have some pie. Maybe he’ll stick it in the blender with the stuffing and cranberry sauces. Maybe then he’ll hitch-hike down to the mall to see if they have some PS3s in stock. Probably, right? Or instead he’ll just sit at home and watch Kid Whatever’s latest video until his brain explodes (which takes approximately 1.5 listens).
OH RIGHT, one other thing. If you have one of those fancy dvd players that will show you European region material (or hey, maybe you are in the European region) then you can spend hundreds of hours trying to find the Frontalot lyrics that appear as an Easter egg in the new IT Crowd season one DVD.

It is a tough row to hoe, this not-quite-famousness that Frontalot enjoys! The tough part is having venues and times changed on him willy-nilly. So:
ALERT: December 18th show at Bowery has been moved to Mercury Lounge. And it is now 18+ instead of 16+. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Bowery tickets will be honored at the door at Mercury. Any 16-year-olds who bought tickets are encouraged to return them to their place of purchase for full refund or else redeem them for a free horsey ride at the congressional page office. That was pretty lame, okay. We’re trying to lighten the mood here.
Front has had a nice weekend! He saw the freakiest goddamn thing down at the science museum. It did not inspire him to leave his body to science; apparently that just gets you turned into RotLDesque sculptures by acrazed Hun. Then he went to see Kid Beyond and Imogen Heap at the Avalon; an amazing tour that Front heartily recommends to dorkfolk and hipster scum alike. From there, he proceeded to a BM Decom party, which reminded him so pleasantly of home. Boston begins to seem livable! Soon the arctic flurries begin, obliterating that notion in its infancy. Cheers!

Holy smokes, it actually turned out okay! Somehow, the shadowy coalition of Finnish hax0rs and Dieboldnecktie-wearers failed to enact Taskmaster Rove’s nefarious bidding, and an insufficient percentage of votesgot routed to the bit bucket! What’s more, the worst of the game-riggers from the last couple rounds lost their bids. We’re sure their crew will try harder next time. But for now, it’s seeya to the forces of eeble while a (very) slightly less pro-war, (almost) equally oligarchical bunch of rightists takes the reigns. Isn’t it cute how ravingly out-of-touch our MC seems? What, did he vote green again? Oh fer crying out loud.
At least our man Don is getting kicked to the curb. Just in time for Iran-Contra ‘06!
In awesomer news, Blak Lotus is in Berkeley this month to rock this Jukebox Stories show that he’s doing withPrince (no relation). Go see it if at all possible!
Speaking of seeing things, here’s a 3-step process for Shin-Chan: 1) view it; 2) deem it awesome; 3) go mouth off on the adult swim bbs about how awesome it is, so that Dorkin and Dyer get more work scripting hilariously subversive nonsense for the existing characters to say in the new dubs.

Hey, buy some Frontalot tickets! Bowery Ballroom is on sale for December 18th at 7PM. That’s Front’s big-ass super megashow with MC Lars. For the first time in NY, you can be sixteen years old and attend anyway. Plus: if you miss this show, Santa will bring you a lump of camel excrement instead of a pocket calculator that shoots lasers.
Front and The Sturgenius spent an evening at the chillingly awesome Slaughterhouse Studio in western Massachusetts recently, to lay down many a funksome track for the upcoming album. Proprieter Mark (known also as Out Out) engineered. Wait, new album? You can barely stand the anticipation. Afterwards, Jeff fed Front beers.
Are you in NY this Thursday (the 9th)? If so, see Front’s key man Gm7 performing in a 2-man show called “Songs That Don’t Suck (And Are, In Fact, Delightful).” It is an evening with Joe Iconis and Gaby Alter, 11pm, Thursday November 9th at Mo Pitkins (34 Avenue A, Manhattan), $5 cover, Free Pie. You heard that right. Free pie. Who wants pie?
In other news: hospitalized children. It is not all fun and games being a hospitalized child. But it ought to be! Therefore give your most gigantic moneys to Child’s Play immediately.

Greetings, o devotees of the Evening of Terrors. Who goes a-treating clad as Karl Rove? It is too fearsome a costume to imagine. Stay instead safely in the realms of zombie, pirate, ninja, monkey, and knife-wielding hobo. Perhaps for further inspiration, you will investigate the newly released Rhyme Torrents Halloween EP. It will not rot teeth.

Friday night’s Western Front show crowded up spectacularly! A good time had by all. Thanks muchly to everyone involved, in particular the sonic beating crew. They made the evening happen and then they made it awesome. Bootleg to come, including Wheelie Cyberman’s guest verse in Nerdcore Rising.
Monday night! Is that tonight already? Maybe! News is typed in the past, but read in the future. DC beckons. Bring friends.
