News From The Front

It is time again for South By Southwest in sunny Austin, TX! Front’s got three shows in store for you: first isbarcamp on the 10th with the whole band, and a set by the untameable Jess Klein. Next comes front’s headline slot at the official nerdcore showcase on the 13th, at the Flamingo Cantina with a bevy of geeky rappers and plenty of Canadians. And finally, a short (sweet!) solo set in the midst of the impossibly awesome Peelander-Feston the 17th.

Front will probably have his nose in the gal-durn comp-u-phone the whole time, so follow along with his daily adventures at the twitters or facebooks.

Next, it’s off to PAX East! Front plays Saturday night (Apr 7th) with Paul & Storm, the VGO, and Jonathan Coulton), and then rocks the Middle East in Cambridge on Monday night (Apr 9th) with the glorious Protomen.

And it arrives! Stoop Sale is the latest video from Solved, which is the latest album. You may have the single fordownload on the mp3 page, the video for download on the videos page, the youtube version in glorious 1080p for sharing everywhere, the lyric on its lyric page, the CD (and its other singles) on the CD page, the MP3/AAC/FLAC album in our electric music store, or the refrain in your shower, as you chant it aloud whilst scrubbing.

Front will see you all soon, on the JoCoCruise, at SXSW, PAX East, or in Brooklyn with Schaffer and Wheatus on May the Fourth, which is, yes, okay, Star Wars Day.

Front’s PAX East set is confirmed for that particular exposition’s Saturday night. One-day passes remain available.

Front and bandmates are in Utica, NY for a SUNY/IT show on Sunday night. They’d love to invite you, but it’s a closed-campus show. So you still have part of the afternoon left to enroll, and/or photoshop yourself a student ID.

Here’s a brand new video, for what is suddenly the second single from Solved, a duet Front recorded withWheatus called Invasion Of The Not Quite Dead. It is the title song to an upcoming indie zombie flick from the UK, directed by AD Lane, who also created the video. Pass it around!

MP3 will be available shortly for your downloading pleasure, along with a quicktime version of the video for you to keep with you in your pocket or at home.

The previous video, Critical Hit, is still online and fancy as heck. It is badly in need of about 100,000 more views, so please watch it once a day for the next hundred thousand days or so.

Speaking of videos from the new album (Solved), Front’s in Bushwick working on the production of Stoop Sale, the second clip to be financed by this summer’s Kickstarter campaign. Those of you who chipped in are privy tothe production diary, updated each night this week.

We hear that the JoCoCruiseCrazy II allotment of bookable cabins is soon to deplete entirely, so if you want to be on a boat with Frontalot, Coulton, Paul/Storm, Hodgman, PF Tompkins, Marian Call, John Flansburgh (of TMBG!), Vi Hart, David Rees, Molly Lewis, Joseph Scrimshaw, and Wil Wheaton, get on that shit.

Tour is done! MC Frontalot extends his most heartfelt thanks to every one of you who came out to the sixty-eight(!) US and UK cities where he rapped over the last fourteen weeks. Everywhere he went, Front was met with kindness, acceptance, hospitality, and shaken booties. The Sturgenius, Bl4k Lotus, 56K, Vic-20, and Wheatus were his indominable cohort. He is overwhelmed with gratitude.

It was quite a jaunt. Front rests his bones now in Brooklyn.

Hey, Oakland! If you’re going to take one night off from getting brutalized by the jackbooted po-po, make it Dec 23rd. Front does a solo set (meaning: backed by DJ CPU) at the Uptown, with MC Lars, MegaRan, and Adam Warrock.

Front is startled to discover that a scant two weeks remain in his marathon 14-week touring excursion. This postdetails the remaining concert installments, and this calendar has most of the relevant door times and ticket links.

The band’s Nov. 11th show in Worcester MA has changed from a private party to a public event, so see if you can make it.

The tour-ending super celebration at Littlefield in Brooklyn has grown to epic proportion: Monsterface will envelop the crowd in their majestic nerdrock, and Schaffer the Darklord will present his devlish rappery. It’s Schaffer’s birthday party, too. So bring a cake-shaped hole amongst your innards.
