Tomorrow night is Friday night, and that means woo hoo. If you are in or around New York, we suggest that your woo hoo consist of attending the MC Frontalot show at Pianos. Don’t be late! Blak Lotus takes the stage at eight promptly.

Saturday night! Come dancing with Front at Public Assembly in Brooklyn. It will last until the wee hours, and we know the music will be top notch.

May second and ninth: MC Lars has invited Front to do a couple numbers with him when he opens up for Nas and Luda. Details impend.

Happy Egg Day to you, small children and weirdo post-pagans! We hope you have celebrated fecundity and/or Zombie Jesus to your heart’s content.

Don’t forget about Front’s big ol’ Manhattan show Friday night at Pianos! It is also a party in honor of Bl4k Lotus’s new album, so show up right at nine eight to hear the band bust out a bunch of his best numbers. Then stick around for the nerdcore, like you were always going to.

Front is wandering around Massachusetts, just stone cold visiting folks. So he cannot tell you very many exciting news items. But he would like you to bid huge dollars on his DNA (and that of a bunch of other “internet celebrities”) as a benefit for Science Commons. It is ROFLDNA and its auction is here, for a couple days only. Win it! You never know when you might need to clone the Tron guy as part of your evil scheme to take over the world.

Details on the Brandon Patton CD release party are posted! It may be your only chance to see a proper Frontalot set in New York before the autumn.

Speaking of rare NY appearances, Front compatriot Doug Cheatwood will be playing Goodbye Blue Monday on Thurs the 2nd. If you see Front in the back, give him a high five.

Frontalot and compadres are returned from the great state of Texas. So many things happened there! Let us explain—no, there is too much. Let us sum up: indie movies; breakfast tacos; internet geniuses; beer;rappers and rockers; minibar; first ever official nerdcore showcase; bbq; home.

This Sunday! That’s the 29th. There is an anime con in Hoboken, called Castle Point. You can attend for twelve dollars, so do. MC Frontalot takes the stage there around 9PM, preceded by Bit Shifter, Bubblyfish, and No Carrier. The sad refrains of Shame Of The Otaku will fill the air, invading your ears like so many tiny melodic tentancles.

Front’s bandmate Bl4k L0Tu5 (aka “the cute one”) has his own career as an indie rock demigod named Brandon Patton, and his long-awaited new album is, for all intents and purposes, done. Which means it isn’t done, but will be by the time of the relase party on April 17th. That’s at Pianos in Manhattan, and you just know that there will be a full-length Frontalot performance to celebrate. Mark your iCals, gCals, or anachronistic wood-pulp-based day-sorting documents.

Frontalot is in Austin, Texas, for some kind of film, internet, and music festival thing! Nice. The nerdcore performances are Mar 20th and 22nd. Here’s a flyer for you to email to your most Texan friends.

If you take a peek at Song Fight, you might be lucky to catch sight of a secret fight that Fightmaster John used to propose to his lady friend. (She said “sure, why not!”). It’s called The Proposal. Gm7 and Baddd Spellah might have helped with one of the tracks! There’s no rapping involved, so it will be complicated to figure out which one.

SxSW updates will be coming fast/furious for the next 9 days or so. But they will be on Front’s Twitter feed, which is abbreviated these days on the front page (over there ==>) or in its full glory at herezzz.

MC Frontalot, Bl4k Lotus, and several dear old comics-reading friends were seated at midnight for Watchmen. Here’s Front’s reactions, in BBS post form.

Noo Yawkaz! Do you like Williamsburg? Not especially? Well, you might want to go there anyway. There’s a free screening of Nerdcore Rising on Monday night!

South! By! Southwest! See previous news, below.

2nd Austin show added! It’s showdown time, pardners. South by Southwest begins on the 13th, and Front will be there all week to backup his Interactive associates, watch movies while eating tex-mex, and then rock twobadass concerts. First one is an official showcase at Prague on Fri the 20th, with Jesse Dangerously, MC Lars,Terp2It, and a lone-star-sized roster of other rap acts. But if you’re not going to have a festival pass orwristband, fear not! The Sunday night show at Spider House will have normal human-priced tickets (and all the Nerdcore of Friday night). Details on that one coming extra soon.

Speaking of MC Lars, do you know what just came out? His brand new album! It is his best so far, and not just because it features a full-fledged duet with MC Frontalot (“Original Gamer,” another track in which Front expresses his inner curmudgeon). Here’s what you do. Purchase it. Don’t dilly dally.

Okay, whippersnappers! It’s not the eighties any more, but you’re still excited about the next issue of Watchmen. If you happen to be on Court St in Brooklyn for the midnight show on Mar 5th, give Front a high five. Or let him cry on your shoulder in the event that Mr. Snyder has ruined everything.

Speaking of people named Zack, one of Front’s old SF buddies wrote the Sunday Times crossword for the 8th. So maybe there will be some kind of secret joke in there about nerdcore rappers. We aren’t counting on it, but we’ll be purchasing some print media that day anyway. Y'all can put your Kindle Twos right in your bottoms.

Hey, we seem to recognize the first talking head in a new trailer for a movie about being upset with George Lucas.

Okay, that is enough news. Front will now go back to building Goo towers and watching Superjail.

It’s not too late to get a ticket to one of Friday night’s NYC Premiere screenings of Nerdcore Rising: The Movie. So do!

Front’s on tap again at South By Southwest for a music showcase. March 20th is the night. Austin is the town.

There would be more news, but Front is sicker than plague water and can’t really sit upright to type.
