Happy Full Belly Day, fellow beneficiaries of American colonial largess! It is a mighty fine day to reflect on the things that we’re thankful for in this world: family, friends, food security, and the two months still afforded us before Kraft Dinner Mussolini takes office.

It is also a fine day to remember that this nation was carved from hard work, a rugged spirit, and an intensely lopsided 150-year incremental land war against the indigenous populations, punctuated repeatedly by broken treaties. Funny how that part is still fucking happening! If you have a little bit of money left over from buying pie ingredients, consider using it to help the Standing Rock protesters. It is properly in the spirit of the Holiday. Or, anyway, it oughta be.

Front urges your American nerd ass to VOTE! If he has any influence over the direction of your vote, he urges you to forsake party building or protest voting and cast one for Hilz, even if you don’t care for what you’ve heard about her. To our MC, she seems like a perfectly normal center-right corporatist party machine Democrat who is going to make good decisions about the Supreme Court and bad decisions about plutocracy and war! But at the moment, a vote for her is literally the only effective way to reject white nationalism and a few of our society’s other worst institutionalized urges toward hate. It will not be funny or cleansing if the whole house burns down. Do the right thing.

A proud young nerdcore fan won Jeopardy last night, after suffering a weird dis from Trebek during the biography segment. Response tracks are surely brewing everywhere. Front will lend a hand! If anyone has Sean Connery’s phone number, send it over.

The US Department of Education asked our MC to put together a playlist of the band’s van-driving music for the Sec Ed’s #OpportunityTour. If you listen to it, you’ll note that Front put his own most educational track on there! Does Front listen to recordings of himself rapping in the tour van? He sure doesn’t! But he felt that squandering such an opportunity for federally sanctioned self-aggrandizement would have been unamerican.

Front’s got the Nerdcore Rising tour crew (Lotus, Sturgenius, and Gm7) with him in Raleigh on Oct 26 for OpenNMS.org’s All Things Open party. You most likely will need an ATO convention badge to get in. But if they don’t hit capacity, you might get lucky at the door.

Front made a new Pinny Arcade tradin’ pin for this year’s Prime. Speculators seem to be selling them on eBay for forty or fifty bucks. But that is irritating to our MC! So he’ll sell it to you himself at face value.

The last few years’ tour shirts are in the new store, too! Fill out your wardrobe, your sense of purpose, and your generous heart.

Front’s home from PAX, folks! He is finally taking one (well-deserved?) break and will miss you all at PAX Aus this year. His apologies: you got ‘em.

Anywhere near Utica, NY? Pay a visit to Mohawk Valley Community College to see Front and the band on Nov 11th. Hear the raps. Hear all the raps. 

PAX Prime fast approaches, like a meteor hurtling towards your desire to play video games in public. This will be the twenty-fifth consecutive dang PAX that Front and bandmates have played. Will it be the last? Don’t miss them at the Friday night concert.

After PAX! Front and co. take the stage at El Corazon for a Monday night blowout, Sept 5th. It’s all ages but you deviants can drink in the side room and discuss politics, mortgages, etc. Tickets are available immediately.

Wow! Front’s new, half-finished website is live. Pretty impressive. Them hax0r kids did a real number on Front’s old site. He would like to thank his team of volunteer devs who built the back-end for him way back in 2006. It lasted a long time, sort of!

Front’s on board for Raleigh’s All Things Open in October and Seattle’s PAX Prime in September!

Frontalot.com is in flux. By that, we mean it is so old and creaky and busted up that we need to throw out our code and do something new. Front sat down to try to do it himself and realized that A) makin’ web pages has changed a lot in the 10 years since he did any kind of professional web design and B) he doesn’t know what he’s doing any more and C) he was probably not all that smart to begin with.

If you would like to become an informal web dev adviser to Mr. Frontalot, please holler at him. Front has some questions about why things don’t work even when it seems like maybe they ought to indeed work, and maybe you are the one to answer those questions while politely smirking at his ignorance.
