News From The Front

Two weeks till Front’s massive show in Philly with MC Lars and Wordburglar, at Underground Arts on 6/15. You need a ticket to attend, as per usual.

The first music video from Net Split is live on YouTube. Please give it a viewing or two! It was directed by Max Isaacson and choreographed by Joshua Carlson, to lovely effect. Ain’t It Cool had the premiere and a write-up.

Front’s on tour with Mega Ran, MC Lars, and Schaffer the Darklord right this very moment. The van is transversing the midwest and then heads southward. All the dates are on the calendar. Click them. Click them so hard.

Net Split is here! It’s Front’s seventh studio album, and perhaps his finest effort.

Here’s what to do: start playing it on Spotify or Tidal or whichever service you use, and leave it looping forever. Front only needs you to play it about 1000 times to earn as much as if you bought a copy! 

Now, while it’s playing, get a CD if you still like owning those.

Next up, pause to recall that your CD player no longer works/exists, but that you still want to own a listenable copy of this thing, and proceed to one of these digital file dispensaries: bandcamp, itunes, amazon, google play, or probably any other one that you prefer!

And then? If you liked it, tell your friends. The big social media companies used to let Front just send whatever messages he liked to his fans, but now those companies have trained their algorithms to withhold any potentially commerce-related posts unless front pays a ransom. So Front’s relying on you to spread the word.

In other reporting, we’re happy to announce that the endgame for the Track 16 puzzle from Front’s album Zero Day is functioning once again! It was lost along with the rest of frontalot.com when script kiddies tore the old site to shreds in 2016. But now, thanks to the tireless efforts of FirstLevelMagic, that puzzle is again yours to bang your head against and yell at a rapper about after concerts. [Also thanks to FLM: the old Kickstarter Prayerbot is back in action!]

Front and his whole band can’t wait to see you all at MagFest on Jan 5th.

Net Split! It was scheduled to come out today. Well! Front has delayed the official date to March 8, 2019, so that he can do some proper press pushing and get a vinyl package together. Pre-orders are still open at Bandcamp (digi) and on Front’s SquareUp storefront (physical CD), and both options provide you with a download of the whole final album right away, so hopefully listener disappointment will not exceed expectations. Front apologizes to the Spotify-only (and other streaming) listeners of this wretched internet. If you pre-ordered on iTunes or some such thing and were hoping to have it in your library right now, drop a note to mc@frontalot.com and he’ll see what he can do.
