Frontalot wishes you good weather and good health from his brief springtime retreat in California. Does he perform? No, he hangs out with Ma Front and Doggy Fresh and about a thousand boxes of fresh blueberries.
This Friday (6/15)! Live, on internet! It's a reddit IAmA with your favorite MC. Starts at noon Pacific (3PM Eastern) and continues till whenever. You like? You participate.
Oh, and the next time Front comes to California it'll be for Comic-Con. He exhibits with Dumbrella (at booth #1337, natch) and performs with Random, Lars, Awk, and other sterling compatriots at the Ruby Room that Saturday night (7/14).
Speaking of San Diego, if you're there right now, check out frontal keyboardmaster Gm7's latest musical "Nobody Loves You" before it closes its premier run at The Old Globe. The NY Times has already called it "delightful" and Front keeps calling it "fukken hilarious."
There are (as of this posting) several days left to get The Kingdom's next game (Word Realms!) funded over at Kickstarter. Front (and your friends Wil, Felicia, & Hodgman) will be Easter Eggs if the project gets overfunded.
Check out which nerd only barely belongs on this typographic mapping of New York rappers.
Sorry about how PAX Prime sold out already. Maybe we should just enter a sort of permanent state of PAX and you folks can drop in whenever.
PAX! What glorious fun it seemed. The rapper and his bandmates extend their thanks to every enforcer, every attendee, the HD troll and goblin team who construct the thing in question, and Khoo who tirelessly churns the crank. See Front onstage via one of the many crowd-captured video snippets, watch him chat with Fuse or XBLA, or just ponder him in puppet form like you've been doing.
In Brooklyn? Don't miss Frontalot's May 4th show with Wheatus, Math The Band, Schaffer The Darklord, and Jetblack Bullseye. Tickets abound, but perhaps won't for long, so purchase posthaste.
Penny Arcade Expo East! Fast is how it approaches. Front and bandmates take the stage Saturday night with beloved compatriots Jonathan Coulton, Paul & Storm, and the Video Game Orchestra. Please note that Front's set occurs at one in the morning, and that if you cannot navigate the lines at the early part of the evening's proceedings, you are sure to have an easy time wandering right in around the beginning of the rapping portion.
If you can't make PAX (or can't ever get enough geek muzex), stop by the Middle East in Cambridge the Monday following for a double dose: MC Frontalot and the Protomen rock the downstairs on the 9th. Tickets! Get one.
Our ill-rested MC is recently returned from South By Southwest in sun-dappled Austin, TX. There he performed with Jess Klein, Jesse Dangerously, Schaffer the Darklord, the ThoughtCriminals, Teenburger, Thesis Sahib, Adam WarRock, More Or Les, Brandon Patton, Random, ytcracker, MC Lars, Math The Band, Peelander-Z, and seemingly countless others (actually 14 others). Whew! In between shows he managed to attend performances by the Shins, Busdriver, El-P, the Magnetic Fields, Fiona Apple, EPMD, Bad Rabbit, Das Racist, War On Drugs, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Bear In Heaven, Reggie Watts, Sleigh Bells, the Black Belles, and Jean Grae. Oh, and comedy from Hodgman, Mirman, Schaal, Kyle Kinane, Kurt Braunohler, and a dozen more. SXSW: it is like a whole thing. You should check it out some time. Front and the band extend their thanks to Barcamp Austin, Lynda, Plaidlad, and the Andersons for making the whole thing possible.
Pick up the new SPIN! It has a fantastic spread on webcomics with quotes from frontal allies Onstad, Beaton, and the PA crew.
