It's the big day! MC Frontalot's fifth album, "Solved," is officially released. You can get the CD (with instant download) and listen to teaser tracks here, buy the download-only version (including 24bit FLAC) right here, get the imperfect-but-still-pretty-good iTunes encodings at iTunes (duh), or opt for the bargain-basement MP3-only version at Amazon. Expect to see it on all your favorite streaming and vending sites as soon as immediately.

Oh, and the first single remains a joyous ode to radio hooks, critical acclaim, Front's lack of both, and the occasional perfect roll of a D20. Video to debut super soon.

Speaking of albums that came out today, take a listen to Mink Car Cover, a They Might Be Giants tribute album benefitting the FDNY Foundation. Front's on there, doing Another First Kiss, and he's joined by all your favorite internet folks, including Hank Green, Shael Riley, Devo Spice, Tom Milsom, Marian Call, Beefy & Mustin, Molly Lewis, brentalfloss, Mike Lombardo, NBW, Aivi Tran, The Doubleclicks, Jonathan Mann, R_Garcia, and Hello The Future! Front's tallest Canadian friend Ryan North even did the art.

Front and company are brunching in Boulder today, then rolling up and down a bunch of mountains until they get to Seattle. What might draw them there? Maybe there's a convention or something.

Frontalot and company are westbound! Chicago, Minneapolis, Madison, Lincoln, and Denver loom in the immediate distance. Beyond them, PAX glimmers at the game map's corner, a mana well ensconced in emerald. Front rocks that particular exposition on the Friday night (8/26), as you may already know.

The band wishes to thank the boisterous and brilliant crowds who have already aided in rocking the heck out of Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Ft. Wayne, and Ann Arbor. Has the Solved tour already passed you by? Perhaps you need to be on the Mailing List!

To keep up with tour happenings, you might want to follow Front's Twattle, like him on Teh Bookface, mind Bl4k Lotus's Twubber, or check out Fifty-Six K's video parade (a daily dose of behind-the-scenery from YooToob sensation and current touring MCF keyboardist Mike Lombardo).

The tour! It so speedily approaches. Minneapolis, Denver, Boise, and Lincoln are freshly added to the gig calendar. Los Angeles coming soon!

We are sad to report that Front is not opening every single show on the Wheatus UK tour. Only about 21 of them will feature our MC doing a whole set. Still a pretty good amount of fronting for such a tiny ol' island. See that gig calendar for specifics.

February 19-26, 2012: you want to be on a boat? Getting off the boat at various islands? Playing perhaps a little shuffleboard? Seeing nightly entertainments from MC Frontalot, Jonathan Coulton, Paul & Storm, Marian Call, John Roderick, PF Tompkins, John Hodgman, Wil Wheaton, and other nerd luminaries? Well get your steamer trunk and, more importantly, your tickets. Cabin inventory is limited.

Two days left to bribe MC Frontalot to write whatever song you want.
