Dear San Francisco, we are writing to tell you that MC Frontalot rocks the heck out of your Cafe Du Nord on Monday night. There's a show at Stanford on Tuesday night, too, but you are only allowed to go to that if you are some kind of Stanford person (a student? a prof? someone who is wearing a university hat?). Then on the 20th it's North Carolina. No tuition required.
Did you see Jhonen Vasquez's masterful album cover for Zero Day? There is a picture of it on internet now.
Hey, just so that you don't freak out or anything while waiting eight long weeks for that new Frontalot album, here's a song from that album for you to enjoy immediately: Your Friend Wil, hosted over at SPIN.com. Here are two awesome things about this song: 1) it is a theme song for Mr. Wil Wheaton, whose credo remains 'don't be a dick,' and 2) the man singing at chorus time is Mike Doughty, who is among MC Frontalot's very favoritest song-singing people in the whole world. So, yeah. The excitements! Join in them.
Also! Skip that stupid Superbowl nonsense and come see Front and band rock Pianos in NYC on Sunday evening. And then Monday evening, Boston is rocked. Okay!
Alright, folks! The new album is called Zero Day. It is "in the can" (can of audio tape? film stock?) and comes out in early April. Stand by for secret clues about how awesome it is.
Front, The CI, Gm7, and Blak Lotus journey to central MA to play the Meat For Tea shindig with old pals The Mathematicians on Saturday night. Attend. Next weekend it's the Frontalot plus Brandon Patton Non-Superbowl-Related Celebration at Pianos. They will provide some kind of sporting contest to entertain you. Perhaps fisticuffs. Then on Mon the 8th you are expected in Allston (which is like Boston but with an "All" sound at the beginning) at Harper's Ferry for some more Patton on Frontalot action. Tickets here.
