Front rocks beats in the musty rehearsin' attic of The Categorical Imperative, readying his rhymes for the impending invasion of Michigan, USA! Detroit show is added for Saturday the 27th, to immediately follow the Nerdcore Rising screening at Detroit Windsor International Film Festival. Details are on the calendar. And the next day? Discuss the film, nerdcore hip-hop, cheeses of the world, and anything else you like, with Front and the film's director Negin Farsad at Ann Arbor's fantastic summer festival. That's at noon-thirty on the 28th, with the film screening again right afterwards. Too much Frontalot for you? Too goddamn bad! Because the gigantic, impossibly badass free concert happens Monday the 29th, Top Of The Park in Ann Arbor, with the One Ups. Tell everyone on earth, particularly the Michigan part of earth.
You might note that the latest album now has three songs posted in full. The new single is Shame Of The Otaku, and it tops the singles list. Will Shipley's favorite, Socks On, is also freshly available. That and Front's 30-second G4 spot (2600) are both under Commissions on the MP3 page.
Front's headed to sunny San Mateo for the Maker Faire on Saturday. If you see him, say howdy do! Or sit at home and watch his occasional Twattle and YeomansTube updates live from the faire. (The Toob page is new, by the way, and will only contain nonsense from el videophone).
Speaking of videos, here is MC Frontalot in a taxi, making a confession about a rock and roll computer adventure from long ago. Lawyers for the Levis corporation are advised that it is completely made up and never happened.
Don't forget about BFD on the 6th. MC Lars invites Front up for their duet, which will be a wonderful thing to behold. So come on by and behold it.
A July 27th Detroit show is in the works, to go along with the Ann Arbor gig! Stand by!
Our beloved MC and his Doggy Fresh visit Ma Front in sunshiney Berkeley, California. Do you take your springtime near there? Your only chance to see him is on the
seventh sixth of next month, and then only for a fleeting golden moment. He will loiter onstage for one number while MC Lars is rocking the living hell out of his headline gig at the BFD second stage, Shoreline Amphitheater.
