2nd Austin show added! It's showdown time, pardners. South by Southwest begins on the 13th, and Front will be there all week to backup his Interactive associates, watch movies while eating tex-mex, and then rock two badass concerts. First one is an official showcase at Prague on Fri the 20th, with Jesse Dangerously, MC Lars, Terp2It, and a lone-star-sized roster of other rap acts. But if you're not going to have a festival pass or wristband, fear not! The Sunday night show at Spider House will have normal human-priced tickets (and all the Nerdcore of Friday night). Details on that one coming extra soon.
Speaking of MC Lars, do you know what just came out? His brand new album! It is his best so far, and not just because it features a full-fledged duet with MC Frontalot ("Original Gamer," another track in which Front expresses his inner curmudgeon). Here's what you do. Purchase it. Don't dilly dally.
Okay, whippersnappers! It's not the eighties any more, but you're still excited about the next issue of Watchmen. If you happen to be on Court St in Brooklyn for the midnight show on Mar 5th, give Front a high five. Or let him cry on your shoulder in the event that Mr. Snyder has ruined everything.
Speaking of people named Zack, one of Front's old SF buddies wrote the Sunday Times crossword for the 8th. So maybe there will be some kind of secret joke in there about nerdcore rappers. We aren't counting on it, but we'll be purchasing some print media that day anyway. Y'all can put your Kindle Twos right in your bottoms.
Front's on tap again at South By Southwest for a music showcase. March 20th is the night. Austin is the town.
There would be more news, but Front is sicker than plague water and can't really sit upright to type.
New York Comic-Con is this weekend! Frontalot will be loitering often at the Dumbrella booth (#1856), as is his wont. Come say hello to the wonderful people who make the beautiful things (and also to Front, say hi). Front may occasionally also be found near the C&H and PA booths. We hear Bl4k Lotus is on the scene playing Magic or some shit. Conventions! Wheee!
Yet more WHEEEE! is in waiting at the Nerdcore Rising: The Movie New York Premiere on Friday the 13th. Shows are at 8PM and 10:15 at 92YTribeca, 200 Hudson Street (at Canal). Buy yourself a ticket! Buy three if you have friends or are of incomprehensible girth. Front and cohorts will be there after each showing to beat-box and bust a small number of rhymes. Not only that, but you should psych yourself up ahead of time with director Negin's continuing efforts to document the band's glory: a decidedly glory-free second installment of the Final Boss tour vid-blog is freshly posted. Check it out, and don't miss part one either.
Hey, remember Nerdapalooza? It was rad. Photographic proof: a slideshow. Hey, remember SxSW? Want to sponsor a Nerdcore showcase at your party there this year? Want to sponsor the official nerdcore showcase? Let us know.
