Glad tidings to all nerd folk in this, the year of our fronting, two thousand and fifteen!
Our MC hopes you will keep track of him on his most active internetty feeds: the twidder, the fussbooks, the gurgle-plus, the tumbling, the insulargram, even il vino. Because he is not so good at keeping his site 'news' up to date.
So! What is even happening? There are two videos out from the new album, Question Bedtime: Gold Locks which features Jean Grae and Gabrielle Sterbenz, with cello magic from Unwoman, directed by BroSis at a terrifying cabin outside of Los Angeles; also the beautifully animated Shudders featuring Kid Koala and the Protomen, directed by Chad Essley. Two new Question Bedtime videos are brewing and will be on the yootoobs mighty soon. The album is here at frontalot.com, and on bandcamp, amazon, itunes, etc!
Front would be pretty psyched if you buy that album. He worked hard on it for three years! Also, his home got burgled a few weeks ago and he's feeling a bit broke. The store has plenty of other stuff, if you'd prefer to keep getting your music beamed from the non-payin' Spotify on the fly.
The band remains in recovery mode from the several months so recently spent on the road -- and they thank you heartily for having stopped by to see them all over the USA, UK, and at PAX Australia. Speaking of PAXes...
Catch the gents funking everything sideways at the innaugural PAX South on Jan 23, then at PAX East on the weekend of March 6th. There are a handful of remaining Pinny Arcade pins to acquire, weird new con-only merch, and all sorts of elbow bumps and photo opportunities to be had at the Bandland booth. Front loves to meet you there. Get met.
Front's also headed to SCaLE Feb 19-22 in Los Angeles for a show with DJ CPU. It will be the debut of some brand new version of that venerable DJ, as the most recent one got swiped in the aforementioned burglary. Burglaries: not that great!
Thank you, and good evening.
Happy Halloween! BoingBoing debuts the appropriately themed new video from Question Bedtime, for the song Shudders featuring Kid Koala on the turntables and and Gambler & Panther from the Protomen on chorus vocals. It is animated by the amazing Chad Essley and you can see it right now. Seek also your free download of the mp3 and m4a on the music page.
And perhaps you will be further creeped out by a bunch of dancing backup Fronts in New Relic's new video for Small Data? We seem to have cornucopia of audiovisual candycorn for you today, dear viewer.
Front is in Australia for Halloween, to perform Saturday night at the second PAX Australia. But he has so much more to tell you. When he has a chance.
The first video from Question Bedtime is live over at Entertainment Weekly! It is for Gold Locks, starring Jean Grae and Gabrielle Sterbenz, and was directed by BroSis, who you may recall as super good at this stuff from their work on Stoop Sale and Spoiler Alert. Head over to EW and click play repeatedly, until you have absorbed every terrifying moment.
The song will be up for normal yewtewbce viewing tomorrow, on Front's channel.
Tour continues. There are only a few more US shows left! Front, Dr. Awkward, Corn Mo, and the whole band hope to see you tonight (9/18) in Baltimore, Friday (9/19) in Philadelphia, and Saturday (9/20) in Brooklyn.
Then it's off to the UK, where MC Frontalot (assisted onstage by Miss Eaves) will play every Wheatus show in England, Scottland, Wales, and Ireland, from September 24th through October 25th. Check those dates out on the gig calendar!
