I was putting a song on it, and once it was done I unplugged it from the computer and it went to the 'turning on' screen, then just went black and now it won't turn back on. I tried plugging it back in to see if it died (in spite of the battery being half charged), but to no avail, and no matter how many times I press buttons, nothing happens. Is it dead? Or is there hope yet?

Are you using sony's cord? How old is it? Do you ALWAYS safely eject? What's your OS?

sorry I felt obliged to finish off your questions there... A few of my mates have had a random bricking problem, try all the usual stuff, taking the battery out,rubbing it between your hands, swearing at it etc |

Yes I'm using Sony's cord, I'm not sure how old it is as I bought it from my friend, I do not always safely eject (not sure that I ever do....) and I have Vistugh.

I went to the skatepark and put it down, later put it in my pocket, later put it down, and eventually went home. I may have left it there, but if I did it's not there. If I didn't then I lost it on the way home or at home.
Not great either way. |
