Deux Ex: Human Revolution Soundtrack - Endings

Michael McCann really did some great work on the music for DXHR. Then again, the whole damn game is great. ^_^

On the same theme of video-game music, Metroid Metal totally kicks ass. I saw them live at PAX a couple years ago and then bought their CD & downloaded all their free stuff

Sometimes, I forget how ridiculous Eminem can be with his freestyle. Fucking hilariously awesome.

Right now, I'm listening to Cadence and Cascade by King Crimson (on the album In the Wake of Poseidon). Lately I've been listening to a lot of prog rock and funk (Kool & The Gang <33333333333333), but also have discovered Homeboy Sandman (as a result of tweeting from our good friend LittleGirlToast), whose rapping is pleasing to my ear.

Speaking of prog rock, I'll be seeing the Thick As a Brick concert next month in Austin. I haven't yet purchased the new album, and I'm wondering if I'd rather have my first listen be live, so I don't have my usual reaction: "I liked the album version better".

Ahh man, I'm jealous! It was great when I saw them in May.

I recognize the DJ from that particular clip (Tim Westwood) so it's unlikely that Eminem is actually freestyling, it's probably a written spit over an industry beat, the other (and recently confusing) definition of freestyle.

I'm listening to Big L.

What do you think of Tim Westwood? People laugh at him in this country but I get the impression that people in the US respect him a lot.

This: www.bassnectar.net/freestyle

I zone out during the dubstep parts but the rest is pretty nice, especially for a short stretch that gets into some reggae dub.

This podcast:

but that RSS feed seems to be missing the 2007 stuff. The iTunes feed has the 2007 stuff as well.

Ace, couple questions about the TAAB show:

At the beginning, a bunch of guys in coats came out onto the stage. What is the significance of the coats?

What did you think of the addition of Ryan O'Donnell on vocals?

My favorite thees days:

Before he succeeded he was working as musician (voice, keyboard, bassoon), bodybuilder and doorman in a gayclub. With Bjarne Melgaard he invented Rummelsnuff. I love it.

Ah, good ol' Glenn Case, always a treat to listen to.
I wonder what audio software he used to get that cool fade-out effect at the end ;)
