Its that time of the year again, when birds sing in the trees, and when I release another compilation album of songs that I have been working on. This batch of songs is called Class Warrior, the follow up to last spring’s Warrior Class (I know, confusing but relevant). Clocking in at exactly one hour and spanning 18 tracks, this mixtape features remixes of mine under the aliases killsaly and Hexenjagd, demos of my (currently on a bit of a hiatus as a band, so yet another solo project) band Campaign Trail 72, and other covers and originals.

1. Phoenix – 1901 (killsaly remix) French band Phoenix decided to release stems from tracks off of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. This was what I came up with for their track 1901.

2. SPC ECO – Telling You (killsaly gazestep remix) This is the second time I have remixed this track. This one is what I call gazestep (shoegaze plus slower dubstepish beats).

3. Shael Riley and The Double Ice Backfire – How to Fire a Gun (killsaly remix) I asked nerd rock musician Shael Riley if I could remix a track or two, and he said yes.

4. the Hope Slide – Parish (killsaly remix) Canadian band the Hope Slide asked me to remix their track Parish a couple of days before it was to be released. I think my amen laced track came out nice.

5. Campaign Trail 72 – Mission = Freedom This Bleach sampling track is a demo of a song I was writing for my band CT72… It will get the proper guitar treatment one of these days…

6. Broken Little Sister – Colour (killsaly remix) I asked Japanese shoegaze band Broken Little Sister to remix their track Colour, and this is my droney/gazey result.

7. mc chris – IG-88 (killsaly remix) mc chris had his usual remix contest. I turned this in a bit late. I dig it, and love the Curtis Mayfield song that I sampled for it.

8. Hexenjagd – Fallout This is the first track from my witch house group Hexenjagd.

9. Bryan Ferry – Shameless (killsaly remix) Bryan Ferry had a remix contest… I didnt win but I made this post rock/gazestep track.

10. Campaign Trail 72 – Padagonia Another CT72 demo.

11. Rapdragons – Haze (Hexenjagd remix) Baltimore hip hop duo Rapdragons released acapellas of tracks of off their excellent debut Ten Stories High. I made this slightly wicked take on track Haze.

12. Factory Kids – the City (killsaly remix) I remixed UK band Factory Kids track the City for them. I almost forgot about it until it was released on their remix album, Weird Scenes.

13. Shael Riley and The Double Ice Backfire – Area Guys Doll featuring Random (killsaly remix) This track is from SRATDIB album Ultimate Songs from the Pit. Im not sure if it is released yet, but since Random put out a podcast with the original on it… I guess we can all enjoy my mix as well… This article about the album is from last September!

14. Ultraklystron vs killsaly – From the Front to the Back (original demo) This is the first collaboration that I ever had across the internet. From WAY back in 2006. World famous nerdcore icon Karl Olson and myself (as JJ Dynomite, doing the beat) teamed up for a mcchris.com forum collab project. Karl didnt like my mix (i couldnt get that fast vocal lined right) so I decided to finally release the “demo” version that Karl tracked for me to line the vocals back up…

15. Broken Little Sister – Colour (killsaly remix Drag Edit) Drag/witch house version of my Broken Little Sister remix for Colour.

16. killsaly – In the Summertime (Mungo Jerry Breakbeat Reversion) Someone at the nerdcore forum wanted a Mungo Jerry beat of In the Summertime. I made this which no one wanted to rap over.

17. Campaign Trail 72 – ms wrong (that dog cover) 90s grunge band that dog were fun. I did a loose “cover” of ms wrong. Samples are Murray and Depp both as Hunter S Thompson from their respective movies.

18. C+C Music Factory – Gonna Make You Sweat (killsaly remix) Everyone knows this song. I made a quick little carioca funk type jam remix.
